AT&T announced another nationwide layoff that will affect 581 of our brothers and sisters across the country, with an off payroll date of April 21, 2006. The total amount for Local 3250 covering Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, North and South Carolina is 16 occupationals. Lucent Stockholders OK Pay Proposals |

Lucent Technologies shareholders won two victories Wednesday, passing two proposals that urge the board of directors to link top brass compensation more closely to the company's performance. Anger over pension benefit cuts and the company's lackluster stock price fueled dissatisfaction that led to the shareholder proposals. They were approved at the company's annual meeting in Delaware. |

AT$T Pittsburg Center Closing Hits 210 and AT$T to Close Fairhaven Center & Move Work To El Paso, Texas! AT&T gave advance notification to employee’s in Pittsburgh CSSC, Fairhaven CSSC, and Mesa Small Business Center that a surplus will be declared in their locations on 2/21 and that they have the option to follow their work to another location. It remains to be seen if this meets the criteria of the CWA/AT&T Agreement to offer a position to surplus employee's before they are laid off by the Company.
