Even though the Lindbergh City Center is a Bell South building, all Legacy T Bargaining Unit Members that will be required to report to this building will retain all rights and privileges under the CWA/Legacy T Contract. This means all transfer rights, wages, benefits, and working conditions covered under our contract will be carried over to the new location, regardless of who is in charge or who is co-located there.
The Company is aware of the differences in core contracts and is obligated by the National Labor Relations Act to abide by contract language that the AT&T Bargaining Unit employees are covered under and CWA Local 3250 will retain the representative jurisdiction for the Legacy T Bargaining Unit Members at the new location within GCA 323.
At this time the Union sees no indication from the Company to reduce employees due to this move announcement, but we will certainly be looking for any patterns that pop up when AT&T announces their Company wide lay-off numbers on March 15, 2010.
As the Company said in their announcement, “If you have questions in the meantime, please contact your supervisor.” Your Union says, “We will be monitoring the situation and move as it progresses and we will inform our Members regarding any patterns, violations, or situations that may develop.”
In Unity There Is Strength.
