AT&T announced a lay off which will affect 90 of our brothers and sisters across the nation. The total amount of members affected in our Local 3250 is 34 and they are located in Georgia. The Company will be offering a VTP in  selected surplused titles, which may relieve some of the impact of this forced lay-off. We have no members affected by this lay off announcement in Florida, North and South Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky.

This completes the titles being surplused in Local 3250’s jurisdiction. It is unfortunate that AT&T has not accepted the Union’s proposal to make planned force adjustments by using the contractor – workforce and halting their outsourcing here and overseas.
