AT&T Surplus Announcement On Hold |

AT&T has notified the C&T office that the lay-off scheduled for AT&T Corp on Tuesday June 13, 2006 has been put on hold. The Company has not notified the Union of a new surplus declaration date. The Company continues to demonstrate their inability to take into account the personal hardship this uncertainly has on our Members.
It is outrageous that a person has to endure this added stress to their everyday responsibilities. This surplus window should be canceled entirely and the company should re-evaluate their contract employee’s for any adjustment in their workforce levels. Our Members have consistently demonstrated their loyalty, experience, and professionalism that established a premium network in the telecommunications industry. AT&T use to call its self the right choice; let’s see if they can do the right thing. We will keep our Members’ informed of any additional information that we receive from the Company and the C&T National Office. In Unity There Is Strength. Roy Hegenbart President/Local 3250 |
