Nominations for the office of Vice President – 575 Morosgo & 51 PCA will be accepted by mail beginning on June 23, 2015 through July 6, 2015, as indicated below.  The term of office for this position will be for the remaining unexpired term which will end on December 31, 2017.  The candidate elected will also serve as a delegate to the CWA Convention and meetings.  The nomination period and location for written nominations to be returned will be:

Nominations may be delivered via regular mail, hand delivery, email, or by fax.  Nominations may be hand delivered to the following CWA Local 3250 Election Committee members:  David Bagner, Louise Gray, Ron Lauck, or Tim Navarro. 

Nominations may also be submitted via mail, email, or fax to the OLMS Election Supervisor, Tamara Kapper, at U.S. Department of Labor, OLMS, 61 Forsyth Street, SW, Suite 8B85, Atlanta, GA 30303, 404-562-2087 (fax), .

Nominations, including self-nominations, must be submitted in writing and received no later than Monday, July 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM.  For the purpose of making a written nomination, please include the nominee’s name, and the printed name and signature of the nominator.  For the purpose of confirming nominations, please include the nominee’s phone number and worksite location, if known. 

As provided in the CWA Local 3250 Bylaws, only members who are 18 years of age and are in good standing are permitted to run for office.  Also, only members in good standing are permitted to nominate candidates. 

For the purposes of this supervised election only, Article XIV, Section 1A of CWA Local 3250 Bylaws, which requires that a candidate attend a minimum of five (5) membership meetings in the 12 month period immediately preceding any election, will not be enforced. 

After receiving a written nomination, an Election Committee member or the Election Supervisor will obtain a verbal confirmation of acceptance in-person or by telephone from the individual nominated.  Verbal confirmations of acceptance of the nomination are required by 3:00 PM on Monday, July 6, 2015.


A candidates meeting will be held at the CWA Local 3250 Union Hall on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 2:00 PM.  Attendance is not mandatory.  Candidates may send a personal representative in their place to the meeting.

Ballots will be mailed on July 7, 2015 and must be returned by August 7, 2015 by 11:00 AM.  Additional information regarding the election will be provided in a separate notice, which will be mailed to all CWA Local 3250 members at a later date.
