Please be advised pursuant to a voluntary settlement agreement between the U. S. Department of Labor (DOL) and Communication Workers of America (CWA) AFL-CIO Local 3250, CWA will conduct a new election and installation for the CWA Local 3250 position of Vice President – 575 Morosgo & 51 PCA under the supervision of the Secretary of Labor.  The candidate elected will also serve as a delegate to the CWA Convention and meetings.  The term of office will be through December 31, 2017.  For the purposes of this supervised election only, the local’s meeting attendance requirement to run for office (Article XIV, Section 1A of the Bylaws) will be waived.

The run-off election will be conducted completely by mail.  In order to have his/her ballot counted, a member must be paid through July 7, 2015.  Ballots for this election are being mailed to members on August 10, 2015.  Any eligible member who has not received a ballot in the mail at home by August 18, 2015, or any member who spoils a ballot may request a new ballot by contacting OLMS Election Supervisor Tamara Kapper via telephone at 404-562-2739 or at , or CWA Local 3250 Election Chairman David Bagner at .  If you request and return another ballot, only the replacement ballot will be counted.

Please read the following instructions carefully before marking and mailing your ballots:

  1. Mark an “X” in the parentheses next to the candidate of your choice.  Do not place your name, initials, or any other identifying information on the ballot.  Ballots containing any identifying information or writing will be voided.

  2. Fold the ballot and then place the voted ballot into the envelope labeled “Secret Ballot” and seal it.  You must use the Secret Ballot Envelope to insure that ballot secrecy is maintained. Do not put any markings on the Secret Ballot Envelope.  If your ballot package does not contain a Secret Ballot Envelope, you may obtain one by contacting OLMS Election Supervisor Tamara Kapper via telephone at 404-562-2739 or at , or CWA Local 3250 Election Chairman David Bagner at .

  3. Place the sealed Secret Ballot Envelope containing your marked ballot inside the Reply Envelope pre-addressed to the Local 3250 Election Committee and seal it.

  4. The pre-addressed return address label on the Reply Envelope contains your name and home address and will identify you as an eligible voter.  Your vote will remain secret because the Secret Ballot Envelope containing your ballots will be separated from the Reply Envelope and mixed with the other Secret Ballot Envelopes before it is opened.

  5. In order to preserve ballot secrecy, do not allow anyone to mark or handle your ballot or see how you vote.  Do not give your ballot to anyone else for mailing.  Do not hand-deliver your ballot to the Local 3250 union office.
