AT&T's Dependent Audit period has ended. If members have not participated by January 25th 2007, by submitting the required documentation for their dependents, these dependents will be dropped from coverage on January 31, 2007.
Members MUST participate in Audit if they have dependents (anyone, other than themselves insured) or their dependent coverage will be cancelled. Dependent Audit Appeals Procedures All participants whose dependents are dropped through the dependent audit process will receive a letter informing them of the date of drop, the reason(s) for the drop and how they can appeal the drop. The appeal process allows for two opportunities to appeal: Within the first level of appeal, if a participant does not provide sufficient documentation to establish the eligibility of their dependent(s) they will be provided an additional 45 days to provide the needed documents. If a participant is denied at the first level, they will receive a denial letter and be informed of their right to file a second appeal. Letters regarding dropped dependents and first level appeal rights will be mailed on or about the following dates: · Wave 2: Jan. 9, 2007 · Wave 3: Jan. 12, 2007 · Wave 4: Feb. 03, 2007 Letters regarding the denial of a first level appeal and informing the participant of their second level appeal rights will be mailed as soon as a determination has been made.
