Contract Negotiations between CWA and Tucker Technologies has commenced. The Union and Tucker met on January 23rd and the Union made proposals regarding the following issues including holidays, wages, lodging, meal allowances, and vacations.
Tucker took the proposals under consideration and will respond shortly. We will keep you informed of the progress of the contract negotiations with Tucker. Tucker is continuing to fill jobs in Technical positions in Florida, if you are interested in applying, please send your resumes to Local 3250 at 350 Mitchell Rd, Norcross, Ga 30071 and we will forward them to Tucker. They have recently hired Techs in Florida at Ft. Lauderdale, Vero Beach, Ft. Myers, Miami, Orlando, and Tampa to temporarily assist in peak loads caused by hurricane damage that was incurred in Florida last year. They have also hired Tucker Techs in Louisiana and Mississippi to perform the same functions for hurricane relief. It seems, AT&T no longer has a sufficient enough workforce to deal with disaster recovery, a position that the Union has brought to AT&T's attention on countless occasions. |
