Last year the company withheld differential payments on Comm Tech base wages for working overtime on NS days at two of the Atlanta Metro offices. When the company was challenged on this, they arbitrarily decided that this contract provision was not going to be applied to in these offices.
Our member’s stood strong and grieved the Company’s arrogant decision. They prevailed with Union representation, recovering over $4100 for our brothers and sisters involved. Don’t let the company exercise unlimited power in the workplace. We will not be intimidated into submission. Stand up for your rights, our contract sets forth the behavior management must adhere to. We want to thank all the Members and Union Reps that were involved in this struggle to prevent the Company’s attack on our Contractual Rights. This settlement sends a clear message to management that we will not tolerate their arbitrary decisions to minimize and change our right to fair wages in the workplace. |
