AT&T announced a lay off which will affect 79 of our brothers and sisters across the nation. The total amount of members affected in our Local 3250 is 20 and they are all located in Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and North Carolina. The Company is offering a VTP in selected surplused titles, which may relieve some of the impact of this forced lay off.
The following are the business units, titles, GCA’s and surplus number announced by at&t for this current layoff.

This completes the titles being surplused in Local 3250’s jurisdiction. It is unfortunate that at&t has not accepted the Union’s proposal to make planned force adjustments by using the contractor – workforce and halting their outsourcing.
