Take Action For The Employee Free Choice Act
Monday, 18 June 2007
FIVE MINUTES -That’s all we’re asking.  You need to take 5 minutes and make two phone calls – one to each of your Senators to tell them we need a vote on the Senate floor on the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA).

TAKE FIVE MINUTES TO SUPPORT THE EMPLOYYEE FREE CHOICE ACT

Why bother?  We’ve got a Union.  Why should we care about the EFCA?

Look what’s happened to our industry.  The large portions are not organized --   Verizon Wireless and Business; Cable with its “triple plays” – voice, high speed broadband and video; municipally owned “wi-fi.”  They are growing fast and those non-Union parts of our industry will soon begin setting the working standards. Not us.  AT&T, Lucent, Avaya and the rest of our organized companies will come to the bargaining table and tell us they cannot continue paying the wages and providing the benefits they do when they are competing against non-Union companies.

We need to take this bill to a vote.  Things are changing too fast.  Every day people are getting fired and harassed for just trying to get the same rights we have.  It’s a disgrace. Do this for them.  Do this for yourself.

Take five minutes and make your call.  Tell them to support the Employee Free Choice Act:
