AT&T Lay-Off Announcement |

AT&T announced a lay off which will affect 38 of our brothers and sisters across the nation. The total amount of members affected in Local 3250 is 2 and they are located in Georgia. The Company is offering a VTP in selected surplused titles, which may relieve some of the impact of this forced lay off. We have no members affected by this lay off announcement in Local 3250's jurisdiction in Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
The following are the business units, titles, GCA’s and surplus number announced by at&t for this current layoff. Business Unit – Business Enterprise Worldwide Customer CareReports Clerk – Atlanta – GCA 323 – Surplus 1 Business Unit – Global Real Estate Reports Clerk – Atlanta – GCA 323 – Surplus 1 This completes the titles being surplused in Local 3250’s jurisdiction. It is unfortunate that at&t has not accepted the Union’s proposal to make planned force adjustments by using the contractor – workforce and halting their outsourcing.
