AT&T plans to announce a lay-off today, September 15, 2008. The company has indicated, but not confirmed, that this will be accompanied by a VTP offer and will not affect the high volumes we have seen in the past. It is the Union’s position that AT&T cannot afford even one employee laid off due to the overall understaffing that exists throughout the company due to past lay-offs. At this time the National has not been notified of titles, GCA's, or numbers from the company.  As soon as we receive confirmation from AT&T we will share that information with our Members".  We will keep this site updated throughout the day of any changes.
