Your Vote Is Your Voice
Thursday, 20 November 2008
On December 2nd, there will be a special runoff election for Georgia's Senate seat. Democratic challenger Jim Martin will face Republican incumbent Saxby Chambliss -- and the choice for working families couldn't be clearer.

CWA strongly backs Jim Martin to be Georgia's next senator. He has a long record of service, as a Vietnam veteran and as a member of the state legislature for more than 20 years. Throughout that time, Jim Martin has stood by workers and their families, and he will bring that dedication to the U.S. Senate.

Tell your friends and family in Georgia how important it is to support Jim Martin for Senate.

As you know, when it comes to passing crucial pro-worker legislation in the Senate, every single vote counts.

If elected, Jim Martin could cast the deciding vote that passes the Employee Free Choice Act or provides health care for all Americans. He could be an important voice in protecting social security, creating good jobs, and making sure our trade deals are fair for American workers.

Saxby Chambliss, on the other hand, has continually backed President Bush's disastrous policies that have led our country down the wrong path these past eight years. Chambliss also has a long history of opposition to workers' rights. He opposes the Employee Free Choice Act and supports tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas.

Jim Martin is the right choice on the issues that matter most to Georgia's working families. Tell everyone you know to vote for Jim Martin in the special election on December 2nd.
