Bargaining Unit employees at AT&T will receive their forth and last wage increase under the 2005 CWA/AT&T Contract Agreement, effective December 7, 2008. The CWA/AT&T Contract expires on April 4, 2009 and wages will again be a major issue in negotiations as they also affect pension bands.
The contract states: “Effective December 7, 2008, wage schedules shall be increased by 2.25% on the Maximum Rates and by 0% on the Minimum Rates in effect on December 6, 2008” The next wage increase will be determined during upcoming contract negotiations in 2009. Remember that the CWA/AT&T Contract expires on April 4, 2009 and the company is gearing up and preparing for bargaining. Your Union is prepared for tough negotiations and we as Members’ must demonstrate to the Company our resolve and solidarity in obtaining a fair and just Contract. The Company does not give hand outs, we receive only what we are prepared to fight for. In Unity There Is Strength. Roy Hegenbart President Local 3250 |
