December 2 Georgia runoff to decide three races
Monday, 01 December 2008
Election Day has come and gone, but here in Georgia you still have a chance to elect other pro-worker candidates for U.S. Senate, Public Service Commission, and the Court of Appeals.

Voters will return to the polls on December 2 for runoffs to decide the following elections in which no candidate received the required 50% of the vote in the November General Election.

U.S. Senate: Jim Martin (D), Saxby Chambliss (R).

Public Service Commission, District 4: Jim Powell (D), Lauren McDonald Jr. (R)

Georgia Court of Appeals (nonpartisan): Sara Doyle, Mike Sheffield.

On December 2nd, there will be a special runoff election for Georgia's Senate seat. Democratic challenger Jim Martin faces Republican incumbent Saxby Chambliss in a special runoff election for Georgia's Senate seat and the choice for working families couldn't be clearer.

CWA strongly backs Jim Martin to be Georgia's next senator. He has a long record of service, as a Vietnam veteran and as a member of the state legislature for more than 20 years. Throughout that time, Jim Martin has stood by workers and their families, and he will bring that dedication to the U.S. Senate.

Tell your friends and family in Georgia how important it is to support Jim Martin for Senate, Jim Powell for Public Service Commission, and Sara Doyle for Georgia Court of Appeals.

Your Vote is Your Voice.
